Drone - Roof Inspections

Did a storm roll through the neighborhood? Not sure if your roof is damaged? Invest in a roof inspection with us before you submit that insurance claim or call a roofing company. We can inspect the roof and give you clear unbiased, documented information about the condition of your roof, including measurements!

Why should you get your roof inspected?

If you’re considering filing an insurance claim, having us do an independent inspection of your roof’s condition and providing you with a report can provide you with a lot of useful information to support your decision to either file a claim or not to.

Here are 5 Ways our Inspection Helps you with the Insurance Company:

  1. Ensure Accurate Damage Assessment – We can look for shingle damage from hail, or wind, gutter damage and any damage to roof penetrations. We’ll also be keeping a keen eye out for any area’s of water intrusion from the roof, such as loose or missing caulking.
  2. Provide Credible Documentation to Back Your Claim – Insurance companies expect solid evidence: timestamped photos, clearly defined damage location, and expert commentary. A full inspection report minimizes the risk of denials or settlements lower than deserved.
  3. Strengthen Negotiations with the Adjuster – Having clear unbiased, documentation backs your claims when it comes to covering the cost of damage repair.
  4. Document within Your Claim Window – Insurers often impose strict timelines—from days to months—after an event like a hailstorm. Getting an inspection promptly ensures damage is captured while still within your claim window, and before any worsening or repairs. If we don’t find any issues, this gives you a documented point in time when the roof was undamaged for when the next storm rolls through.
  5. Decide Whether Filing Is Worth It – Sometimes the damage is below your deductible—or the insurance rate hike outweighs the payout. A pre-claim inspection gives clarity on repair scope so you can make an informed decision and avoid unnecessary claims.

What’s included in the Roof Inspection?

When we do our roof inspection, our primary tool is our drone. We’ll use the drone to take full aerial pictures of the roof and closeup shots of any damage. We can scan all parts of the roof, no roof shape, slope, etc, is beyond what our drone can reach. If we can, we’ll climb the ladder and get on the roof for an even closer look, but inspector safety is paramount, at a minimum, we’ll use the drone.

What we Inspect

  • Roof covering – looking for damage, missing shingles, wear and overall condition
  • Gutters
  • Fascia Boards
  • Vents, flashing, skylights, chimney, and other roof penetrations – looking for damage and calking and sealing around these penetrations.

Documentation – You Get 2 Reports!

  • A written report detailing the inspection complete with pictures, highlighting any damage, and the overall condition of the roof.
  • A second report will be generated using an aerial picture of the roof that is complete with measurements of the roof.
    • Report features Length and Area Measurements for each section and the total roof area.
    • This allows you to cross-check quotes from roofers and measurements from claims adjusters. They should all be within an error of margin, so the right material and cost can be calculated.

Remember, we’re not trying to sell you a roof, our role is to support you and provide you with documentation and information!
