Who am I? – Sean Struckmeyer
Welcome! I’m Sean Struckmeyer, the owner and lead inspector at Tech Inspect Home Services LLC. Based just outside of New Melle in St. Charles County, I’m a proud husband to Amanda and a dad to three amazing kids. Years ago, my wife and I chose this area to raise our family after a single drive-through convinced us: this is home.
Now, my mission is to use my expertise to help you find your perfect home with absolute confidence.

The Tech Inspect Difference: IT Precision Meets Building Science
Before founding Tech Inspect, I spent years in the IT industry—starting at Scott Air Force Base and eventually serving as an IT Manager at Boeing. When I transitioned into home inspections, I brought the best parts of my tech career with me: highly analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex technical issues in plain, easy-to-understand English.
My wife actually came up with the name “Tech Inspect,” and it perfectly captures my approach. Buying a home is one of the largest financial investments of your life. You deserve more than just a guy with a flashlight checking boxes. You deserve top-tier diagnostic tools, advanced software, and a modern approach that leaves no stone unturned.
Hands-On Experience You Can Trust My passion for homes didn’t start with a career change. I grew up surrounded by construction, helping my dad build additions, pour concrete, and frame roofs. Since buying my own mid-70s ranch home, I’ve spent years mastering hands-on maintenance and repairs. I understand the “why” and “how” behind a home’s systems, and I love translating that knowledge into practical, actionable guidance for my clients.
Where did the name ‘Tech Inspect’ come from?
My wife came up with the name, and it stuck. It’s catchy, easy to remember, and a perfect fit for my background in IT and use of technology on inspections. From the beginning, I knew I wanted to bring advanced technology, software, and tools into every inspection. My clients are making one of the biggest investments of their lives, and I believe they deserve the best. That’s why I invest in top-tier tools and technology: to deliver thorough inspections, the best client experience, and the clearest results possible.
