Attendance Required?
Should you attend or not is a common question, ultimately, it’s up to you and we understand if you can’t make it.
What works best for Us:
While we want you to be part of the process, it’s actually better for the inspector if you just want to be there for about the last 30 minutes of the inspection. By this point in the inspection, we’ll be done with the roof, major systems like HVAC and Electrical and we’ll be done in the attic, basement or crawlspace. We’ll be finishing up with the interior and kitchen and finalizing our report. At that point, we can walk you through the report AND show you in person, any issues and help answer any questions you may have.
Why is this better for the Inspector?
It allows the inspector to work through the house at their pace, documenting as we go, and enables us to really take the time to look over things without distraction. Plus, you’re not just waiting around for us when we’re up in the attic, on the roof or crawling under the house. Let us get the hard work done and we’ll be able to spend more time being fully present and engaged, answering any questions you may have and ensuring that our findings are clearly explained and you understand the information we’re providing.
What if you can’t make it?
Like we said, if you can’t make it, we completely understand. With work and family schedules it just might not work out. In that case, we can schedule a phone call or zoom call to follow up and go over everything at a time that works for everyone.
Communication Is Key:
Whether you plan to attend or not, or plans change, staying in touch with you Inspector is key, so we can accommodate you and ensure that we’re providing a full run down of the report. Our goal is not just delivering the report and that’s the end, but to ensure that the report makes sense.
We look forward to meeting you at your Inspection!
