Why It Matters
Solar can be an asset or an expensive surprise
A standard home inspection confirms the panels are there. It doesn't tell you whether they work, what they're worth, or how long they'll last. This does.
Know what it's worth
A graded assessment of the system's value and the years of savings remaining.
Been burned before?
Confirm real, measured energy production — not just that panels are on the roof.
Catch problems early
Equipment lifecycle, installation safety, and condition issues surfaced before closing.
Built for the deal
A clear, third-party report you and your agent can use in negotiation — in 24 hours.
Certified Inspection Services
Services you need, one certified inspector
Sean Struckmeyer is certified by InterNACHI, IAC2, and SPRK Solar — so a single visit can cover the inspection, the roof, radon, solar, and more.
What does a solar panel inspection include?
A Tech Inspect solar panel inspection is a SPRK-certified, independent evaluation of a home's solar energy system for a real estate transaction. It assesses system condition and installation safety, verifies energy production, estimates equipment lifecycle and remaining useful life, and grades the system's value and remaining years of savings — delivered as an easy-to-read graded report. It can be added to a complete home inspection or scheduled as a standalone service throughout St. Charles, Franklin, Warren, and Lincoln counties, Missouri.
What We Evaluate
Inside the graded solar report
A standard home inspection confirms the panels are there. It doesn't tell you whether they work, what they're worth, or how long they'll last. This does.
System condition & safety
Panels, mounting, wiring, and installation safety reviewed for defects and hazards.
Verified energy production
Confirmation the system is actually generating power as expected.
Equipment lifecycle & remaining life
How old the equipment is and how many productive years likely remain.
Value & savings assessment
A graded read on what the system is worth and the savings remaining.
Who it's for
The right call whether you're buying or selling
Home Buyer: Buying a home with solar
Don't inherit someone else's broken or worthless system. Know exactly what you're getting — and whether the panels are an asset or a liability — before you close.
Home Seller: Selling a home with solar
Prove the system's value to cautious buyers with an independent report, so your solar helps close the sale instead of stalling it.
